John Fullerton: When Growth Bumps Into the Biosphere

Since the beginning, capitalism has been based on the premise of a perpetually growing economy. But what happens if, after hundreds of years, the global economy in aggregate now runs into the final boundaries of the biosphere itself? That’s the question that John Fullerton, the founder and President of The Capital Institute, has been wrestling with for the last decade or so. In fact, the former JP Morgan executive founded the Institute to help come up with the answers.
